In addition to his love for tech solutions and team building, Bao is also an outdoor enthusiast. Cross-country skiing is a sport he holds especially close to his heart - an interest that evolved during his time living in Umeå within walking distance from the ski track.

“I like the combination of newly prepared tracks, the biting cold, and the speed of cross-country skiing. More often than not, I also bring along my storm kitchen and cook something outdoors with my partner (why is it that food always tastes best when enjoyed outdoors?). Cooking is also one of my biggest interests, especially Vietnamese cuisine.”

Bao has a master’s degree in economics from the School of Economics at Umeå University, with a specialization in business development. Before joining Prototyp he held several roles at Tele2, most recently as the manager of a group that worked with attracting and retaining customers.

Why did you decide to start working with us?
“I chose Prototyp because the company culture and philosophy suit me well. There is a strong emphasis on ‘people before profit’ and a strong drive to work with social and environmental sustainability.”

What do you do in your role as Tech Manager?
”As Tech manager, I am the manager of several of our developers. I also help out with customer processes and procurement. On top of that, my role is still being formed as we speak. Next, I will work with recruitment and in helping support the marketing department.”
